Challenge Autonomous vehicles are poised for significant growth but to achieve level 3+ autonomy, a highly- accurate sensor suite will be required. Solution Advances in technolog y and new business mod- els have made it possible to get centimeter-accu- rate GNSS, delivered in an upgradeable receiver at an aff ordable price that is designed for volume integration. The industry at large has not changed its ap- proach for decades. While legacy GPS providers make high-accuracy GPS solutions, most are far too expensive for today's applications, especially autonomous vehicles. On the other end of the spec- trum, consumer-grade GPS receivers are available at a lower cost but lack suffi cient accuracy.
