THE PROBLEM WITH THE UBER MODEL
While Measure is focused on offering quality franchises, Chief
Operating Offi cer Jesse Stepler said some other companies are
leaning toward what he describes as an Uber-for-drones model.
The idea is to connect demand for aerial data with someone
local who owns a UAS. This could be a great model for wedding
photography, fi lming commercials or real estate, he said, but one
that doesn't really work for clients who have more complex data
requests. These clients want standardization and to know exactly
what to expect from their drone service provider as far as how
they're trained and the fi nished product they'll produce.
